Apple Ginger Mocktail, I’m FALLing for you! Fall is in full swing and I couldn’t think of a better way to mark the occasion than by sipping on an autumn-inspired mocktail. Quench your thirst with this delicious and comforting non-alcoholic beverage.


My Apple Ginger Mocktail recipe starts off with a fresh, crisp, sweet yet tart apple cider. Not to be confused with apple juice, apple cider is a raw, unfiltered and unsweetened drink made using a variety of apples. Apple cider adds complexity and a dominant apple flavour to this mocktail. Ginger beer and a splash of orange juice are added to the mix, imparting some citrus-flavour, effervescence and a hint of spiciness. To reinforce the Fall flavour, add a pinch of apple pie spice and garnish it with an apple slice, cinnamon stick and star anise.

Ingredients:

  • 4 oz. unsweetened apple cider

  • 1 (5 oz.) can ginger beer, chilled

  • 1/2 oz. freshly squeezed orange juice

  • Pinch of apple pie spice (See Notes below)

  • Ice cubes

  • An apple slice, cinnamon stick and star anise, as garnish


Instructions:

  1. Fill a tumbler wine glass, half full with ice cubes.

  2. Pour in the apple cider, ginger beer and orange juice.

  3. Add a pinch of apple pie spice and stir until fully incorporated.

  4. Garnish with an apple slice, cinnamon stick and star anise. Serve and enjoy!

Notes:

  1. Apple Pie Spice: I love adding a pinch of apple pie spice to this mocktail, as it gives the drink a Fall and festive flair. I use Club House Apple Pie Spice blend, which is comprised of a combination of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice and a hint of cloves and cardamom. These flavours perfectly compliment the aromatic apple cider, spicy ginger beer and fragrant orange juice.
