My Homemade Guacamole recipe is made using 8 ingredients, requires 10 minutes of your time and couldn’t be simpler to put together. It’s that easy! Enjoy it with tortilla chips; as a topping for nachos, tacos and tostadas; stuffed inside a burrito; served alongside your favourite quesadilla or on top of toast!

Makes: Approx. 2 1/2 cups
Ingredients:
5 ripe avocados, peeled, pitted and halved
1/2 small yellow onion, finely chopped (approx. 1/4 cup)
1 tomato, finely chopped (approx. 1/2 cup)
Juice of 1 lime (approx. 1 Tbsp)
2 small garlic cloves, peeled and minced
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/4 tsp cumin
2 Tbsp fresh cilantro, finely chopped
A dash or two of your favourite hot sauce (optional)
A heaping spoonful of store-bought or homemade Pico de Gallo (optional)
Instructions:
To a large bowl, add the avocados. Using a fork, mash the avocados to your desired consistency.
Toss in the onion, tomato, lime juice, garlic, salt, cumin and fresh cilantro and mix until combined.
Transfer the guacamole to a bowl and top it with a heaping spoonful of fresh Pico de Gallo. Serve it alongside some tortilla chips or use it as a topping for tacos, tostadas, nachos or avocado toast. Enjoy!
Variety is the Spice of Life: If you enjoy guacamole with a little spice, then simply add a dash or two of your favourite hot sauce to the bowl and give it a final mix. Serve and enjoy!
